Self Care Sunday! 30 Boredom Curing Activities for Self-Care

This week we're going to show you how to make a Boredom Curing Self-Care Activity Jar. To do this we need as many self-care and creative activities as possible for people to put in their jars - so we need your help! Here we've listen our favorite 30 things to do when we need a little pick-me-up - can you let us know what YOU like to do to look after yourself and add a bit of happiness into your day?
Call a friend or family member just to say hello
Go for a mindful walk around your neighborhood
Write down whatever comes into your mind for the next five minutes
Ask a friend for a TV show or movie recommendation and then watch it
Get under a blanket and read a book or magazine
Make yourself a playlist of your favourite happy songs and listen to it all the way through
Write down ten compliments for yourself
Doodle for ten minutes
Re-read your favourite book
Re-watch your favourite film
Put on your favourite song and dance to it
Find a podcast to listen to - we recommended Fearne Cotton's Happy Place
List ten things you are grateful for
Write a list of all the mean things you want to say, then rip it into pieces and throw it away
Have a picnic in the garden
Try an exercise class - there's loads on Youtube!
Go to a museum (virtually)!
Write a letter to a friend and post it
Drink a big glass of water
Look at some art - Google a museum you'd like to visit, loads of them have their collections available to view online.
Get crafty - head to pinterest
List your worries on a piece of paper, then crumple it up and throw it away
Do some Yoga - there's loads on Youtube, Yoga with Adriene is particularly good!
Have a hot shower or bath
Play a game (computer, board, or other!)
Meditate - there's lots of good videos on Youtube, or you could try apps like Headspace and Calm
Cook a meal that you love
Bake a cake
Make yourself a cup of tea then sit and drink it
Put on some warm pyjamas and have a nap
